SCBL MANAGER OF THE YEAR 2000

    Kirkland Lake (SCBL Press)  The SCBL'S manager of the year award was handed out over the Christmas holidays and as expected, San Diego's Bruce "Bubba" Legault was awarded the hardware.  Bubba garnered 27 total points based on a point total of 3 for 1st, 2 for second and 1 for 3rd.  Robby Courchaine of the New York Yankees was second with 20 total points followed by Dave Legault of the Pittsburgh Pirates with 16. 

   In all, 13 of the 14 owners voted with the exception of the Detroit Tigers who were exempt as he is a new owner.  Surprisingly as well, not one owner voted for himself!. 

   Bruce received 11 total votes, 5 first place votes and 6 second place votes for a total of 27 points.  Robby received 4 first place votes, 3 second place votes and 2 third place votes for a total of 9 votes and 20 points.  Dave received 1 first place vote, 2 second place votes and 9 third place votes for a total of 12 votes and 16 points.  Ken Brunet was 4th in the voting garnering 2 first place votes, 2 second place votes and 1 third place vote for a total of 5 votes and 11 points.  Brad Dishaw received 1 first place vote for 3 points and Jared Crozier received 1 third place vote for 1 point.
